Federal health officials have reportedly opened an investigation into reports of increased risks of heart inflammation in recipients of the Moderna vaccine. Recent studies citing those familiar with the probe said the condition called Myocarditis was rare, but has shown to be a particular risk for men under 30-years-old.

Both the FDA and CDC have been looking into the matter. This comes after the FDA added a warning of increased risk of heart inflammation in both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines in June.

However, the risk was notedly two and a half times higher in those who got the Moderna shots in comparison to Pfizer.
