Kamala Harris publicly spoke out about the the crisis in Afghanistan, but failed to answer questions about the Biden administration’s troop withdrawal process. During a press conference alongside Singapore’s prime minister on Monday, Harris said the main focus was on evacuating Americans, Afghans who helped the U.S. and all those vulnerable.

When asked what went wrong with the U.S. troop withdrawal however, Harris didn’t appear to have a sense of urgency in addressing the situation.

She explained, “I think there is going to be plenty of time to analyze what has happened and what has taken place in the context of the withdrawal from Afghanistan.”

Harris went on to say the U.S. would not be distracted from its mission of evacuating people from the region. Her trip abroad comes as the Biden administration has faced heavy criticism over the chaotic troop withdrawal.
