White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki is under fire for a comment surrounding Americans currently stuck in Afghanistan. During a press briefing on Monday, she claimed Americans were not “stranded” while asserting that it was “irresponsible” to suggest such.

Many criticized her statement while suggesting what actually was irresponsible was the U.S. troop withdrawal, which has left thousands stuck under the Taliban’s control.

Psaki went on to say the White House is working around-the-clock to bring the remaining Americans home. According to officials, the U.S. has evacuated more than 37,000 people from Kabul.

Meanwhile, it appears even some Obama-era officials are turning on Joe Biden over his mishandling of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan.
