Authorities in Tennessee shifted focus to clean-up efforts from major flooding. At a press conference on Wednesday, the Chief of Waverly Police Department confirmed the body of the final missing person, Lily Bryant, had been recovered.
The 15-year-old girl’s family last saw her when she on a raft-typed device, which hit a tree and caused her to fall. She was reported to have been swept up in the flood waters.
In memory of the lives lost during the devastating floods in western Middle TN, flags over the State Capitol will fly at half-staff until Friday.

The local police chief also told the media search efforts were suspended as the community continued to grieve.
“We lean on each other a lot. We step away a lot and take those minutes… They’ve seen a lot of things in the last few days that I wish they didn’t have to,” he expressed. “….I didn’t know everybody on that last, but I knew somebody connected to every single person on that list.”
Meanwhile, authorities have been on standby to resume the search if anyone else was to be reported missing.
