The governor of West Virginia said there’s no chance he’s mandating the coronavirus vaccine for school children. During an interview with CBS’s Face the Nation on Sunday, Gov. Jim Justice (R) said he truly believes mandates only divide us as a nation more.
The Republican governor said from the standpoint of mandates, he doesn’t believe in imposing upon our freedoms over and over again. Justice assured he wants to keep children safe, but said parents have the decision to make as well.
“But from the standpoint of our children, I’m going to still encourage in every way because I truly believe that the more people that we get vaccinated, the less people will die. But at the same time, we still got to stand up for who we are,” he said.
West Virginia's @JimJusticeWV says there's "no chance" he'd impose a vaccine mandate for students in his state.
"I truly believe the mandates only divide us and only divide us more," he claims.
