Former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo derided Joe Biden’s foreign policy decisions and how they are putting the lives of Americans in harms way. On Sunday, Pompeo stressed the Biden administration has “given up on securing the border.”
Pompeo claimed Biden is bending the knee to progressives in the Democrat Party, who advocate for open borders. Additionally, the former top U.S. diplomat said the Biden administration is neglecting warnings of negative effects from a massive influx of illegal immigrants and drugs.
Pompeo also touched on the Afghanistan crisis, urging the U.S. government to keep their promise to Americans and allies in the country. He warned if the Biden administration abandons them, the people with ties to America would be persecuted, executed and disappeared.
American security and sovereignty depend on a secure border. We left the Biden administration a functioning plan and they tore it up and are trying to do so again. https://t.co/nrNFmzF90o

He went on to say the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan is empowering U.S. adversaries, including China and Iran, who are champing at the bit to secure their strategic position in the region. He lamented Biden is appeasing our rivals, citing the Department of Justice’s recent dismissal of charges against Huawei CFO Meng Wanzhou, who helped violate America’s failed Iran nuclear deal and steal valuable American intellectual property.
The Chinese Communist Party has been alleged to have been holding two Canadians hostage, hoping to parlay the safe return to Wanzhou to Mainland China. Additionally, Pompeo criticized the Biden administration for prioritizing its climate agenda over sound international policies. He pointed to the valuable resources given to our adversaries by withdrawing from Afghanistan, which he predicted will damage U.S. production of micro chips, automobiles and natural gas.
The U.S. Constitution says “We the People” not “We the Government.”

In the meantime, Pompeo urged Biden and his advisors to look back at the Trump administration to see how to implement and enforce policies that put America first. The former secretary of state touted the strong border and America-centric supply chains under President Trump as policies that could benefit Americans for generations to come.
