A group of demonstrators followed Democrat Sen. Kyrsten Sinema into a bathroom this weekend and repeatedly demanded that she vote for President Joe Biden’s expensive “Build Back Better” plan and legislation that will give millions of illegal aliens U.S. citizenship.
“We need the Build Back Better plan right now,” one activist said.
Footage shows the group confronting Sinema as she left a classroom at Arizona State University in Phoenix to use the restroom. Sinema later said the pushy activists “deceptively enter[ed] a locked, secure building” before posting a video highlighting their “inappropriate” behavior harassing her and students using the restroom.
While Sinema flushed a toilet behind a closed stall door, one harasser demanded that the senator pass legislation that creates a “pathway to citizenship” for millions of illegal aliens who are hurt by “anti-immigrant legislation.”
“I was brought here to the United States when I was 3 years old, and in 2010 my grandparents both got deported because of S.B. 1070,” the woman who identified herself as Blanca said. “And I’m here because I definitely believe that we need a pathway to citizenship.”
The demonstrators also threatened to boot her from office if she doesn’t comply with their demands. Sinema calmly ignored their comments as she walked back to her classroom.

“Yesterday’s behavior was not a legitimate protest. It is unacceptable for activist organizations to instruct their members to jeopardize themselves by engaging in unlawful activities such as gaining entry to closed university buildings, disrupting learning environments, and filming students in a restroom,” Sinema said in a statement on Monday.
The senator said she is “committed to creating a safe and intellectually challenging environment for my students,” but “yesterday, that environment was breached.”
“My students were unfairly and unlawfully victimized. This is wholly inappropriate,” she wrote.

President Joe Biden downplayed the harassment when asked about it on Monday.
“I don’t think they are appropriate tactics, but it happens to everybody,” he said.

Sinema, much like Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia, has refused to back the Democrats’ $3.5-trillion agenda bill. Protesters confronted Manchin last week about his unwillingness to bend to the administration’s demands for his support.
