Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) announced a vaccine incentive program for teens called “Kids Deserve a Shot.”

The Democrat announced the program recently for all Minnesota residents ages 12-to-17, giving them the chance to win hundreds of dollars in gift cards and up to $100,000 in scholarships if they are fully vaccinated. Teens who complete their two-dose vaccine series between Oct. 18 and Nov. 30 will be eligible.

“Keeping our kids in school, keeping them doing the activities that are helping. So, we’re here today to know that one of the big pieces of that is getting kids vaccinated,” said Walz.

Republican Rep. Jeremy Munson (Minn.) has voiced his opposition to the program and said the governor is bribing kids to get the jab while “incentivizing parents with a ridiculous chance of a lottery scholarship so they sign the permission slip.” He went on to say Walz is simply trying to trick kids into getting a vaccine that Biden has admitted could be harmful.
