Former NFL running back Zac Stacy has been accused of violently beating and throwing his ex-girlfriend and mother of his child around the room while his baby lays on the couch, according to TMZ.

The attack took place on Saturday at the home of Stacy’s ex-girlfriend, reports the news outlet. Video shows a man, who TMZ identifies as Stacy, beating the woman during an argument.

The man can be seen hitting the woman before forcibly throwing her against a television, which then falls on top of her. The woman can be heard pleading with him to stop, before he picks her up and body slams her to the ground. He then tells the baby “I love you,” before fleeing the house.

The woman reportedly called the police after he fled the home and filed a restraining order on Monday.

“He punched me several times in the head! I begged him to stop because the baby was on the couch just a few feet from where he punched me,” the woman wrote in the restraining order application.

“He then picked me up and threw me into my TV. The TV began to fall and he turned to make sure I wasn’t getting up. As I laid on the floor he began to yell at me, telling me I’m destructive. He then picked me up off the floor and off my feet and body slammed me into our son’s bouncy seat.”

The video has circulated throughout NFL circles, with multiple players expressing their disgust on social media.

“I’m not retweeting the video but ZAC STACY NEED TO BE THROWN UNDER THE JAIL,” Packers wide receiver Davante Adams said on Twitter. “Any man that puts his hands on a woman is a coward. Can’t believe what I just saw.”

Baltimore Ravens defensive end Calais Campbell called Stacy a “coward.”

“For the record…. Any man that puts his hands on a woman is a coward! Short of defending yourself in a life or death situation, there is no excuse!”

“Woke up to the Zac Stacy video,” 11-year NFL veteran Chris Long said. “Made my stomach turn. Not retweeting. Crazy to play w someone for a couple years & you have no idea what kind of bullshit they do at home.”

“Efforts are underway to capture Stacy,” a police spokesperson told TMZ. “And we would urge him to turn himself in and face the criminal charges.”

Stacy was a record-setting running back at Vanderbilt University, playing four years for the Commodores. In his 2012 senior season, Stacy was named Second team All-SEC, and became the first Vanderbilt player to rush for 1,000 yards in back-to-back seasons.

Stacy was drafted in the fifth round of the 2013 draft by the Rams, playing two years in St. Louis. He then played for one season for the New York Jets, where he appeared in eight games. Stacy finished his career with 1355 rushing yards.
