Donald Trump criticizes Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell for failing to stand up to the Democrat agenda. In an interview Sunday, the 45th president said McConnell should have objected to raising the debt ceiling unless Democrats abandon their spending plans.

Instead, the GOP leader just allowed Democrats to spend trillions of dollars and borrow trillions more. Trump said the Republican Party must start putting America first.

“There was no way that that should have been passed. It should have been 100% for infrastructure,” said the 45th presdient. “So what’s happening is we had a thing called the debt ceiling, and he could have used that to win everything, and he chose not to.”

Trump also called on GOP senators to oppose the so-called voting rights bill proposed by Democrats saying it would erode the integrity of U.S. elections.
