A woman has filed a lawsuit against Snoop Dogg accusing him of sexually assaulting her in 2013, claiming he followed her into a bathroom and forced her to perform oral sex on him.
“According to the filing, the woman attempted to resolve the issue in private mediation on Tuesday, but that the discussions were ‘unsuccessful.’ Since the woman is named as a Jane Doe in the lawsuit it is unclear if a criminal complaint has been filed,” NBC News reported.
Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., is scheduled to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday.
The lawsuit alleges that the woman, a model and dancer, attended a Snoop Dogg concert in May 2013, after which she and her friend visited Snoop Dogg’s studio with him and his friend, Bishop Don Magic Juan, whose real name is Donald Campbell. The lawsuit adds that Campbell offered her a ride to her home but after she fell asleep in his car, she woke up at his home at 4 a.m. as Campbell “removed his penis from his pants and forced his penis in Plaintiff’s face,” and “repeatedly shoved his penis into Plaintiff’s mouth,” TMZ reported, adding that the woman claims Campbell “gave her a dress and told her to put it on so they could go to Snoop’s studio, saying ‘I want to see if he will make you the weather girl’ — for some TV show.”
The woman charges that she went to the bathroom and Snoop Dogg walked in, forcing her to perform oral sex on him before masturbating in front of her. Following that, the woman claims, Campbell told her, “Come here! Take a picture with Snoop!” She alleges she was frightened so she complied, claiming Snoop Dogg wouldn’t hire her because she “refused to willingly and enthusiastically give oral sex.”
The woman claimed in the lawsuit that she felt pressured by Snoop Dogg “due to his dominance, and his position of power over her, including his ability to hire and fire her and ensure that she would never be hired in his industry again.”
“Snoop Dogg appeared at a Super Bowl press conference Thursday but did not address the lawsuit. No questions were taken,” NBC News reported.
On Wednesday, Snoop Dogg, who called the allegations “a pack of lies,” posted an Instagram Story where he wrote, “Gold digger season is here be careful … keep ya guards up.”
The woman’s attorney, Matt Finkelberg, said Thursday that she “refuses to be silenced and intimidated any longer. Our client’s hope is to inspire other victims of sexual harassment, assault, and battery to understand that they have rights, will be protected, and although they are victims, they will not have to be silenced forever.”
“The woman, who is accusing Snoop Dogg and Bishop Don Juan of sex trafficking, sexual battery and sexual assault in the suit, has requested a jury trial and is asking for punitive damages and legal fees,” The Daily Mail reported.
