Meghan McCain was cordial with co-hosts on “The View” except when she got into giant fights with them, which was inevitable considering how different her political views were from her co-workers. But she’s not too pleased that one of the former panel members, liberal host Joy Behar, shared a negative comment on McCain’s sappy Valentine’s Day post for her husband.

It all started on Monday. That’s when McCain shared a photo of herself with her husband, Ben Domenech, and included the caption “Happy Valentine’s Day @bdomenech. I love you and am grateful every day for the life we have together,” to Twitter.

A Twitter user responded to the photo with a snarky, “Does every thought and sentiment need to be on Twitter?” Then Behar responded with a now-deleted reply, “Apparently.”

McCain, who left “The View” in summer 2021, was not amused by Behar’s response.

“Imagine spending your Valentines Day trolling your ex colleagues tweet about her husband,” the “Bad Republican” author wrote.

Fox News co-host Janice Dean chimed in claiming that Behar “can’t quit you,” while McCain called Behar’s reply “pathetic,” and elaborated, “It creeps me out.”

It’s not the first time Behar caused McCain mental anguish. Apparently, one of the reasons the lone conservative co-host decided to leave was Behar’s response to McCain coming back from maternity leave.

“You missed me so much, Joy,” McCain joked shortly after returning to the show. “You missed me so much when I was on maternity leave … You missed fighting with me.”

Behar replied with a curt: “I did not. I did not miss you. Zero.”

Later, McCain admitted what really happened after that segment and how it contributed to her wanting to leave.

“After the show, I went back to my office and I had a panic attack. I couldn’t stop crying, and I’m not always crying,” the “Raising McCain” alum told her friend Ramin Setoodeh. “I couldn’t compose myself. I threw up in the garbage can. I was so overcome.”

According to Insider, the co-host decided “that was the day” she decided to leave the show and the toxic environment there. When asked why Behar said what she said, McCain replied, “I don’t know. She might have hated me.”

McCain made it obvious how much she hated “The View” when she quit. But the commentator had more to say on the situation in her memoir.

“The idea of [a] show dedicated to women having conversations that our society reserves for men is important and necessary in our culture. But there are some things about the show that feels stuck in 1997,” she wrote in “Bad Republican.”

“In this era of dismantling toxic work environments and refusing to accept the poor treatment of employees, how is ‘The View’ still immune?”

The show is still struggling to find a full-time conservative host after McCain’s exit.
