Jada Pinkett Smith said she recently realized she suffers from “some anxiety” after learning more about forms of it through her and Will Smith’s daughter, Willow Smith, who is dealing with the same issue.

During the 50-year-old actress‘ latest “Red Table Talk” episode posted on Facebook, she and their 21-year-old daughter sat down with guests actress Kim Basinger and her and Alec Baldwin’s daughter, model Ireland Baldwin. The video starts out with Smith’s daughter and Ireland talking about their struggles with anxiety or some kind of panic attacks.

“Recently, we [Jada and her daughter] had a talk, and she was like, ‘I never knew that I actually experienced anxiety,’” Willow shared. “She [Jada] was pushing it down for so many years, like she had no idea.”

“I had to forgive her a little bit for being like, ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah … I get it, but it’s really not that bad,’” she added.

“It was rough,” the actress’ daughter continued. “I feel like when I was growing up, she didn’t understand my anxiety. Because she, growing up, had seen her friends die … she had been through so much stuff that my issues, to her, kind of felt like …[smaller].”

Later, “The Matrix Revolutions” star opened up about how she used to chew her cuticles and nails, and only recently found out it’s a form of anxiety by learning about it through her daughter. Jada admitted she struggled to relate to what her daughter was going through because of her own childhood experience.

“I never identified it [Jada’s actions] as anxiety,” Jada’s mom, Adrienne Banfield-Norris shared.

“Oh, well of course I probably would have some anxiety,” the “Girls Trip” star responded as she came to this realization with Willow.

It is presumed the show was taped before everything happened at the 94th Academy Awards when Willow’s father, Will Smith, walked on stage and slapped Chris Rock in the face after the comedian cracked a joke about Jada Pinkett’s shaved head amid her hair loss battle, reported the New York Post in a piece published Wednesday.

Jada Pinkett recently shared a message about “deep healing” following the “King Richard” star’s actions at the Oscars in March, and she teased that “some of the discoveries” will be shared on the new season of her show on Facebook.

Before the premiere of the Season 5 episode of Smith’s FB series, a statement was posted on Twitter that vaguely referenced what happened with their family in the “last few weeks” and said that they have been focusing on “healing.”

“Considering all that has happened in the last few weeks, the Smith family has been focusing on deep healing,” the message on social media read. “Some of the discoveries around our healing will be shared at the table when the time calls.”

“Until then … the table will continue offering itself to powerful, inspiring and healing testimonies like that of our incredibly impressive first guest,” it added. “Thanks for joining us, Jada.”

After the Oscars, the “Men In Black” star apologized to Rock and conceded that he’d been “out of line” and “wrong.” Shortly after the apology, he announced that he was resigning from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences amid disciplinary proceedings from the Academy over his actions at the annual award show.

The Academy later shared that Smith was banned from attending the Oscars for 10 years for slapping Rock.
