Libs of TikTok — an account known for reposting videos of progressive activists — was banned from running Twitter ads on Tuesday.
A notice from Twitter — shared by Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon and retweeted by Libs of TikTok — said that “a user associated with your account is ineligible to participate in the Twitter ads program at this time.” Any active campaigns on Libs of TikTok “promoting a user or its Tweets will no longer run,” according to the notice.
Last week, Libs of Tiktok — which focuses more on resharing leftist videos rather than producing original content — was suspended from Instagram for failing to follow the platform’s community guidelines.
“We have determined that this account violated the Twitter rules, specifically for violating our rules against hateful conduct,” the ban notice, also shared by Dillon, explained. “You many not promote violence against, threaten, or harass other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or serious disease.”
Last month, Libs of TikTok was also banned entirely from Twitter for 12 hours after allegedly violating rules against “hateful conduct.” Only a few weeks prior to the ban, Libs of TikTok told her followers: “It’s a matter of time before I get suspended. Never know which post will be my last. If you want to make sure you keep receiving my content, go to the link under my bio and sign up for my email list.”
The most recent social media censorship comes one day after the anonymous woman behind Libs of TikTok posted a “Mega Thread” of drag events targeted at minors.
“They say it’s innocent. They say it’s just about inclusion and acceptance. They say no one is trying to confuse, corrupt, or sexualize kids. They lie,” Libs of TikTok explained in the opening tweet. The drag shows featured in the thread occurred in various settings — including a gay nightclub in Minnesota, a bar in Texas, and a Vermont library. At one event in Indiana, children were encouraged to tip the performers.
In an interview with The Daily Wire last week, Carl Trueman — professor of biblical and religious studies at Grove City College and author of “The Rise and Triumph of the Modern Self” — explained that a phenomenon called “expressive individualism” undergirds LGBT activists’ emphasis on displaying drag queens for children.
“In brief compass, expressive individualism is the dominant way of thinking about identity in the modern Western world,” Trueman said. “Essentially, the expressive individualist intuits that the true self is that which we are inside, the inner emotions and psychological feelings that we experience.”
Trueman added that “children are the perfect target for groups whose purpose is the subversion of the parent-child bond and the consequent strengthening of the power of a progressive establishment.” Indeed, the bond between parent and child is perhaps the most important in society — and its dissolution creates a vacuum that progressives can exploit for their own ends.
“Destroy the bond between parents and children,” Trueman said, “and you have destroyed the most powerful and influential pre-political bond of influence and loyalty that stands in the way of the various lobby groups trying to drive the direction of our culture.”
