Federalist Publisher Ben Domenech called the Biden administration anti-science Tuesday based on President Joe Biden’s first 100 days in office marked at the end of this week.
“We can use the first 100 days of this administration, look at it, and see within it an enormous amount of anti-scientific activity,” Domenech said on Fox News’ “Special Report,” adding this rejection of scientific standards “will lead to a degradation of faith in our institutions.”
Domenech said White House coronavirus adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci, for example, was a primary driver of school closings early in the pandemic while the vast majority of other western nations kept children in classrooms. Fauci has remained the most prominent voice on the pandemic in the Biden White House, even though he should have been fired “from the moment he came out last year and said that we needed to shut down schools,” Domenech said. The Trump administration, on the other hand, was adamant schools needed to re-open.
“When we look at this administration,” Domenech said of the current White House occupants, “the way they’ve treated this whole thing has amounted to a huge amount of theater, as opposed to actual science. When the president comes out with a mask over, and over, and over again, he sends the message implicitly that if you get vaccinated, nothing will change.”
That message has deterred many in the population from seeking vaccination, which would help end the pandemic and get people back to life.
