Police located and arrested a third suspect in the fatal shooting of a Washington state sheriff’s deputy. Authorities said 26-year-old Guillermo Raya was taken into custody in Salem, Oregon on Sunday.
Raya had reportedly been on the run since Friday evening after Drug Task Force Detective Jeremy Brown was shot and killed while conducting surveillance in his vehicle. A neighbor in the apartment complex where the incident occurred reported three gunshots.
“They both came running around the corning and jumping in the car to get away,” the neighbor explained. “…She was wearing a black sweater and waving around a bag and that caused them to stop the car, back up, to go pick her up. Then they drove off and hung a right around this corner and just disappeared.”
