Texas Rep. August Pfluger (R) touched on several pressing issues in this week’s Republican Address, which primarily brought more attention to the ongoing crisis at the southern border. Pfluger, who has represented a district exposed to the full effects of the Biden border crisis, told the story of what he has seen and heard in his own community each day.

“I’ve spoken with many Border Patrol officers who tell me the tragic stories of human trafficking that are occurring every day,” he explained. “I’ve also heard from our local law agents who are overwhelmed, being pulled from their important posts, down to the border.”

He added parents have become increasingly worried about their children’s safety and most attributed their discomfort to Joe Biden’s refusal to address the issue. The congressman also addressed the monetary issues threatened the livelihoods of all Americans by blaming the Biden administration’s desire to just keep spending.

“The answer can’t be more spending, yet the Biden administration keeps rolling out trillion dollar packages chalk full of socialist and green new deal policies,” he stated. “As if the pockets of taxpayers are an endless piggy bank for Democrats to keep digging into.”

Pfluger ended with the reminder that Republicans have been offering solutions, but the Democrat majority in Congress refused to come to the table as they have continued to cater to Biden and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).
