President Joe Biden’s push of Major League Baseball to boycott the All-Star Game in Atlanta this summer resulted in more oppression of the Black community, critics note.

Baseball – picking up on Biden’s “Jim Crow” rebuke of election reform – obliged, moving the game from 51% Black Atlanta in the South to 76% White Denver (just 9.2% Black) in the Midwest mountains, according to U.S. census data.

Also, Atlanta’s business are almost 30% Black-owned, one of the top 5 best Black-business cities in the country, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

Also, as Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, R, noted to Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle,” Colorado has more restrictive voting laws than Georgia just passed to address the lack of following election laws in the past presidential election.

“Georgia has 17 days of in-person early voting, including 2 optional Sundays,” Kemp told guest host Pete Hegseth on Monday night amid the breaking news. “Colorado has 15. They also have a photo ID requirement, so it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me.”

Kemp also rebuked President Biden opening the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championships, “telling everyone how great Indiana is,” when “Indiana is the birthplace for the photo ID requirement.

“So hypocritical.”

Laws on mail-in ballots, voting places, and signature verification were altered without legislature approval in key battleground states, handing Biden the election, former President Donald Trump’s lawyers have argued.

Baseball moved its July 13 All-Star Game out of Atlanta on Friday, responding to pressure to boycott Georgia for passing election law reforms, including codifying mail-in balloting, requiring an ID to request an absentee ballot, regulating inequitable dropbox placements, adding a Saturday to early voting, and restricting political groups from giving out freebies in voting lines to lure voters to vote for their candidates.

Baseball will now play the All-Star Game at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado.

“Over the last week, we have engaged in thoughtful conversations with Clubs, former and current players, the Players Association, and the Players Alliance, among others, to listen to their views,” MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred said in a statement last week. “Major League Baseball fundamentally supports voting rights for all Americans and opposes restrictions to the ballot box.”

Like most major events, they bring tourism and business to the surrounding communities, which Fox News reported is now a largely white area of the country.

The 2019 All-Star Game in Cleveland has been estimated to bring $65 million into its community. The 2020 All-Star Game in Los Angeles was canceled due to COVID-19, and the city has been one of the most struggling to respond to the pandemic.

“We have to continue to make Georgia a state where it’s easy to vote and hard to cheat, and have secure, accessible, fair elections,” Kemp noted, saying Biden and Georgia Democrat activist Stacey Abrams are “lying to the American people.”

Kemp suggested this is all a Democrat-pushed diversion from the massive border crisis created by the Biden administration and the push for H.R. 1/S.R. 1 to “have an unconstitutional federal mandate to take over state elections.”

No wide-scale boycotts have been set up by conservatives for the Democrats’ push to pass massive federal election reforms.
