Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, R-N.Y., appearing on Newsmax TV, urged New Yorkers to join her in pushing for Gov. Andrew Cuomo to resign.

“As if the misguided nursing home policy, the stonewalling of the state legislature, the cover-up, as well as the bullying of an assembly member wasn’t enough for Cuomo to resign, you also have the sexual harassment allegations,” she said Friday during an interview on “John Bachman Now.”

One of Cuomo’s accusers, Charlotte Bennett, detailed in an interview with CBS News the alleged incidents of sexual harassment aimed at her by Cuomo.

Malliotakis called Bennett’s claims “absolutely distributing” and said the woman’s allegations were “heartbreaking.”

“He previously had asked her if she had sex with older men,” she said. “It was completely inappropriate. If this was corporate America, he would be fired. And that’s why I continue to urge New Yorkers to add their name at EnoughCuomo.com if they believe the governor needs to resign now.”

The site urges New York residents to “sign the petition calling on the governor to step down because of his mishandling of the COVID crisis in our nursing homes and potentially-criminal conduct.”

But even if he doesn’t step down, she believes he is unlikely to run for reelection.

“This is somebody who is very stubborn, who would be difficult to get him to admit his wrongdoings,” she said. “I do believe the governor will find it very difficult to run for reelection.
