The crypto market continued its rally on Sunday, with bitcoin (BTC) surpassing USD 45,000 for the first time since May and ethereum (ETH) inching higher above USD 3,000. Meanwhile, dogecoin (DOGE) is the best performing coin among the top 100 cryptoassets today.

At 09:34 UTC, BTC trades at USD 44,693, correcting lower from USD 45,242 reached earlier today. The price is now up by 2% in a day and 7% in a week, increasing its monthly gains to 30%. It’s still down by 31% from its all-time high (ATH) reached in April.

Meanwhile, recently upgraded ETH increased its weekly gains to 23% while it is down from its ATH in May by 28%. It trades at USD 3,136 and is up by 4% in a day.

At the same time, DOGE rallied by almost 22% today, hitting USD 0.266 and increasing its weekly gains to 24%. It’s still down by 64% from its ATH, reached in May.

Other cryptoassets from the top 10 club are showing mixed results today.

“A mood of optimism appears to have returned to cryptocurrency markets, Paolo Ardoino, Chief Technology Officer at Bitfinex, told Bloomberg. “Bitcoin is leading the charge while ethereum continues to make gains.” Still, per Ardoino, “the turbulence that we’ve seen in crypto markets over recent weeks is unlikely to subside.”
