Podcaster Joe Rogan talked about the “intrusion of privacy” people running businesses dealt with amid COVID-19 enforcement and said that the health department even showed up in his Los Angeles studio.

During “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast on Tuesday, the host and guest MMA fighter Khalil Rountree were discussing how, during the pandemic, the government closed down gyms that never recovered in places like Los Angeles and New York. The discussion starts at the 2:06:17 minute mark in the show here.

“So many gyms went under,” Rogan explained. “So many gyms in L.A. went under. It’s horrific. And the guys who didn’t go under they had to like sneak people in the back door. They’re worried about the health department showing up.”

“We had the health department show up at our podcast studio in L.A.,” he added. “It’s like ‘shouldn’t you guys be out there dealing with sick people? We test everybody here man, get the f*** out of here.’”

“It was just such an intrusion in privacy when all the sudden the government was like stepping into the most healthy thing you could f***ing do, go to the gym,” Rogan said. “And they are closing down gyms during a time where you know, you’re worried about health. Bonkers. It was bonkers.”

Rountree agreed, sharing how it basically “didn’t make sense” and said “nothing made sense.”

Rogan had spoken out against COVID-19 rules and told his podcast audience recently that “people lost their f***ing minds” over the last two years with enforcement of telling others when and where they had to wear masks, as previously reported by The Daily Wire.

“My favorite video was a lady with no mask screaming at a man to put a mask on,” the host explained. “She was just a person on a plane. She wasn’t even a lady who worked for the airline. She’s just screaming and then she smacks him in the head. She wound up getting arrested. But she was just, I don’t know if she was on drugs or what.”

“Because one of the things that happened over the last year in a half, is that people really enjoyed telling you to put your mask on, because you kind of have to listen,” he added “And when someone says ‘put a mask on’ … [as he begrudgingly pretends to put one on] you have to. It’s a thing. You’re not wearing it and someone … you can’t say ‘f*** you.’ If you say f*** you, then you’re on YouTube and then it’s a real problem.”

“People lost their f***ing minds,” the host reiterated. “They lost their f***ing minds over the last two years.”
