Superstar Kim Kardashian reacted to the backlash over her comments suggesting that women in business should “get your f***ing a** up and work,” admitting that she had been “mortified” by it.
In the new trailer for Hulu’s Season 2 “The Kardashians” that dropped Monday, the 41-year-old reality star appeared to be confronted by her sister Khloe Kardashian about an interview Kardashian gave during her Variety piece in March for a cover story about the family where she claimed “no one wants to work.”
“You saw all of the backlash on the Variety interview?” Kim explained in the trailer in a voice-over clip.
“No one sympathizes with you,” Khloe responded in the clip. However, it is unclear if her response is directly to her sister’s comments.
“I’m mortified,” Kim replied. “And I do understand why people were upset.”
Kim said in the original interview from Variety, “I have the best advice for women in business. Get your f***ing a** up and work. It seems like nobody wants to work these days.”
When asked about the perception people have that “she’s famous just for being famous,” Kardashian replied, “Who gives a f***…We focus on the positive. We work our a**** off. We just don’t have the energy for that. We don’t have to sing or dance or act; we get to live our lives — and hey, we made it.”
“With all respect and with love, I’m not, like, being a b****,” she added.
The comments drew a massive backlash from everyone from former and current cohosts on “The View” to stars and people on social media who said the Kardashian was born with a silver spoon in her mouth and more, Page Six noted.

During the reality star’s appearance at a later date on “Good Morning America,” Kim later claimed her comments were “taken out of context.”
“Well, that statement that I said was without questions and conversation around it,” the reality star shared. “It became a sound bite, really with no context.”
The reality star further explained that the initial question she had been asked was about about the idea that she was “famous for being famous” after “20 years in the business.” She said with that question her “whole tone and attitude changed” and that’s what “went into that question about what advice would you give to women.”
“And it wasn’t a blanket statement towards women or to feel like I don’t respect the work or think that they don’t work hard,” Karashian shared. “I know that they do. It was taken out of context, but I’m really sorry if it was received that way.”
