In his first press conference since taking office 64 days ago, taxpayer-funded PBS White House reporter Yamiche Alcindor asked President Joe Biden whether migrants are crossing the southern border because he’s so “moral” and “decent.”

“You’ve said over and over again, that immigrants shouldn’t come to this country right now, this isn’t the time to come. That message is not being received,” Alcindor said as the nation faces a crisis of illegal immigration not seen in decades. “Instead the perception of you, that got you elected as a moral, decent man, is the reason why a lot of immigrants are coming to this country and trusting you with unaccompanied minors.”

Alcindor finished her laudatory monologue by asking how Biden plans to deal with the “tension” of being such a nice person.

“Well look, I guess I should be flattered people are coming because I’m the nice guy, that’s the reason why it’s happening,” Biden said, as thousands of Central and South American migrants began the journey to the border immediately following the president’s November election.

The new administration is now faced with a migrant crisis at the border two months into Biden’s presidency, engineered by the Democrat’s open border rhetoric. Biden began to follow through on his pledge to unravel his predecessor’s legacy on immigration on his first days in office. Biden immediately halted the construction of the southern border wall, reinstated Obama-era protections for illegal aliens, and ended former President Donald Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” policy which kept migrants on the other side the border until processed for entry.

Migrant detention centers along the border, characterized by Democrats and the corporate press as “cages” under the Trump administration, are now overwhelmed and exceeding capacity as new immigrants continue to pour through the floodgates.

Alcindor has a long history of activist journalism, whose work is emblematic of how the rest of the White House press corps has flexed flagrant double-standards when covering the Biden compared to Trump.

Alcindor’s entire Twitter feed on the day of Biden’s inauguration read as a Democratic spokeswoman’s, beaming with excitement as if the new president was a patriotic savior.

In the run-up to Inauguration Day, Alcindor celebrated Biden’s initial cabinet picks by quoting a Democrat on MSNBC to emphasize the new team as assembling the “Avengers.”

Throughout her time covering the Trump White House, Alcindor made it a point to clash with the president on issues of social justice, often accusing the Republican of being racist. Around this time last year, Alcidor complained during a Trump White House coronavirus press briefing, after several questions had already been asked on the issue from other activist reporters, whether employing terms which connected the novel Wuhan coronavirus to China such as “Kung Flu” was unduly racist.

“There are some, at least one White House official who used the term ‘Kung Flu,’ referring to the fact that this virus started in China. Is that acceptable? Is it wrong?” Alcindor asked Trump without ever naming the person she indicted.

“No, not at all,” Trump said. “It comes from China.”
