Ignoring polls showing Americans are fed-up with him, President Biden snapped at a reporter who pointed out even Democrats don’t want him to run for re-election, “They want me to run.”

A New York Times/Siena College poll released this week shows that although 92% of Democratic voters would vote for him in 2024, 64% of them preferred someone other than Biden to run. Only 26% of Democratic voters wanted Biden to run again.

At the end of a garden party at the White House, a reporter asked Biden, “What’s your message to Democrats who don’t want you to run again?”

“They want me to run,” Biden bristled, prompting the reporter to fire back, “Two-thirds say they don’t.”

“Read the polls. Read the polls, Jack,” Biden snapped. “You guys are all the same.”

Undeterred, the reporter pressed, “A majority of Democrats say they don’t want you to run in 2024.”

“92 percent said I did. They’d vote for me,” Biden retorted, according to The Daily Mail.

The Times poll found a paltry 13% of respondents who believed the U.S. was on the right track, a nadir that was last reached in the financial crisis of 2008. Young Democrats reached virtual unanimity in their disapproval of Biden as a 2024 candidate; 94 percent of Democrats under the age of 30 wanted someone else to run.

A Politico/Morning Consult poll released on Tuesday showed only 28% of Americans thought Biden should run for president in 2024. It found 64% of all respondents did not want Biden to run for re-election. Additionally, the poll found that only a miniscule 24% of all women wanted him to run again, and only 11% “definitely” wanted him to run.

But the polling also found that 64% of Americans think he should not run again: 46% of Americans believe Biden should “definitely not” run, while 18% think he should “probably not” run again.

An Associated Press-NORC poll released June 29 stated that 85% of Americans felt the country was headed in the wrong direction. 78% of Democrats agreed with that perspective as Biden’s approval rating remained sunk at 39%. The same poll revealed a catastrophic plunge for Biden in voters approval of his handling of the economy; only 28% approved as opposed to 51% one year before.

In that same poll. 67% of Democrats described the national economy as poor as opposed to 37% the year before.
