There are plenty of things Kim Kardashian would probably like to say about ex-husband Kanye West publicly.

Their messy feud has been raging as the “SKIMS” brand founder moves on from her ex and father of her four children. The reality star admitted in a recent Variety interview that she doesn’t want to speak ill of Ye, however, even to defend herself.

“Being in the public eye and having disagreements publicly is never easy,” Kardashian told the publication. “But I do believe in handling it all privately. I believe in championing publicly and criticizing privately. I don’t think I would ever criticize the father of my children on my TV show. That’s just not really what I’m about, and I just don’t think that would ever make me feel good.”

She went on, citing her children’s well-being as one major concern.

“I’m always really respectful of what the kids will see. The reality is, we’re always a family. We always will have a love and respect for each other. And even if there’s moments where it might not seem like that, there are so many moments that are super positive. I do think it’s important for people to see that things aren’t perfect all the time, but that they can get better,” she said.

The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” alum is currently enjoying a romance with “Saturday Night Live” comedian Pete Davidson, a fact which has ratcheted up West’s quest to get her back. West disparaged Davidson both on social media and on his new album, “Donda 2,” which includes a depiction of the “SNL” star being buried alive.

For her part, Kardashian has been careful not to engage with West during his social media rants against her new boyfriend, but the “KKW” founder did speak out when her ex called her parenting skills into question.

After Ye slammed Kardashian for allowing their 8-year-old daughter, North, to post on TikTok, the reality star posted a statement with her position.

“Kanye’s constant attacks on me in interviews and on social media is actually more hurtful than any TikTok North might create,” the SKIMS founder wrote in part. “As the parent who is the main provider and caregiver for our children, I am doing my best to protect our daughter while also allowing her to express her creativity in the medium that she wishes with adult supervision — because it brings her happiness. Divorce is difficult enough on our children and Kanye’s obsession with trying to control and manipulate our situation so negatively and publicly is only causing further pain for all.”

Kardashian was declared legally single by the courts earlier this month. Court documents said the star suffered “emotional distress” due to West’s behavior online.

Despite their separation, West has been vocal about his desire to reunite the family. Besides North, the couple shares three other children together: Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 2.
