President Joe Biden and his administration need to be honest about what is going on at the southern border, former acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf told Newsmax TV.
Wolf appeared on Monday’s “Rob Schmitt Tonight” after DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said at a White House briefing earlier in the day there was no crisis at the border.
“We’re absolutely in a crisis,” Wolf told host Rob Schmitt. “We know that for a variety of different reasons. But I would say the department and the Biden administration need to be honest with the American people and describe, words matter in this case, what’s going on at that border.”
Wolf said 3,500-4,000 daily were arriving at the because the Biden administration said “it’s now O.K. to come to the border.”
