CNN spun a story about President Joe Biden’s Wednesday address to an emaciated joint session of Congress by claiming he would be showing off his “moderate radicalism.”

In the article, CNN claims Biden is “no firebrand ideologue” but admits his “radicalism is expressed through a huge pandemic rescue bill, a larger proposal that redefines the concept of infrastructure, and a massive health and child care blueprint.” This label, the article continues, is not viable if Republicans use it.
“Republicans think they can brand Biden as a radical and spark a backlash,” one of the subheads states.
The article largely ignores the fact that most of Biden’s so-called “solutions” have been enacted without Republican input or support in exchange for “an agenda that argues government can still solve national problems, 40 years after an era-defining Republican president spelled out the opposite conclusion.”
A Biden administration was marketed to voters as a unifying moment for the country amidst a pandemic but has been dominated by activism in the form of a massive one-sided spending bill, an infrastructure plan that seeks to dole out funds to causes on the left, radical abortion policies, a crackdown on guns, and rhetoric fueling the nation’s already tense culture war. The president’s falsehoods and attempts to feed the race-based narratives pushed by the corporate media and the left also contribute to his anything-but-moderate first 100 days in office.
Biden’s pandering to the ever-growing hard-left of the Democrat Party is laying down a radical track record that even socialists such as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have praised publicly as “very impressive” in urging the Democrat-controlled Congress to pass “progressive legislation.”
“The Biden administration and President Biden have definitely exceeded expectations that progressives had,” the New York congresswoman recently said in a virtual town hall. “I think a lot of us expected a much more conservative administration.”
