A new advertisement from the Republican National Committee (RNC) ridicules Democrats for their deceitful maligning of Georgia’s election security law, which resulted in tomorrow’s MLB All-Star Game being moved out of state.
“This was supposed to be Atlanta’s night,” says Rev. Melvin Emerson, a former member of the state’s general assembly, in the ad. “But we were robbed. Democrats stole our All-Star Game to push their divisive political agenda.”
“Politicians and corporations lie, while black communities got hurt the most, even though a majority of black voters support laws like voter ID. To Democrats, it’s just a game,” Emerson continues. “But we’re the ones who got played.”
Democrat lies about election integrity hurt Georgians and their recovering economy.

President Joe Biden supported calls from leftist corporations and activists this past spring to move the All-Star Game out of Atlanta because of a Georgia election reform law. The president referred to the Georgia law, which mandates voter ID for absentee ballots and bans poll workers or political actors from passing out food or drink at the polling place, as “Jim Crow in the 21st century.”
More than 200 corporations stepped out to attack bills like Georgia’s, with CEOs like Delta Airlines’ Ed Bastian and Coca-Cola’s James Quincey criticizing the Georgia law specifically. MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred quickly caved and moved the game to Denver, costing Georgia an estimated economic loss of $100 million. The Atlanta Braves, the MLB team in Georgia, said it was “deeply disappointed” by Manfred’s decision.
The GOP has been on the attack in the lead-up to the game tomorrow. Last week, the National Republican Senatorial released an ad calling out Georgia Democrat Sen. Raphael Warnock for refusing to condemn MLB’s decision.

The NRSC is proud to remind voters in GA of the urgent need to replace Warnock next November. Watch our latest ad that will run during the @MLB All Star Game and Home Run Derby ⬇️: pic.twitter.com/mME1oPxAlL
