With wind and money behind the sails of former President Donald Trump after his well-received CPAC speech, former Trump campaign senior adviser Jason Miller on Newsmax TV said Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., is one early GOP incumbent to “earn” a Trump endorsement.

“We are going to hear some more endorsements; in fact, later today, I believe we’re gonna have an endorsement going out for Sen. Tim Scott, of course, the incumbent running for reelection and for the U. S. Senate in South Carolina,” Miller told Tuesday’s “John Bachman Now.”

“Couple other incumbents that we have on the near term here will be coming up this week, but I think with regard to some of these other races when we talk about primaries, things like that, it’s way too early to go and talk about that.

“What we really want to focus on, it’s real simple: How do we win the house back? How do we win the Senate back? How do we win some of these gubernatorial seats.”

Just coming out behind Trump’s MAGA vision is not enough, Miller added to host John Bachman, candidates need to be able to raise their own support and cash before tapping into Trump’s Save American PAC $80 million coffer.

“They need to win with the help of President Trump, not simply because of President Trump, and so we want to make sure of these campaigns stand on their own legs,” Miller added.

Miller announced the 24 hours after Trump’s CPAC speech raised $3 million.

“All of that will go toward helping Republicans, conservative Republicans, Make America Great Again Republicans win in the midterm elections,” Miller said. “This puts us over $80 million cash on hand and the president’s leadership PAC.

“We’re going to start looking at different races where the president’s going to endorse, where he is going to be getting active. That’s really kind of the focus right now, is how do we take this energy and go and apply to the midterms.”
