President Joe Biden has not resembled the man who served 36 years in the Senate and campaigned for his current position, according to Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, on Newsmax TV.
Jordan appeared on Wednesday’s “Greg Kelly Reports” and said Biden’s actions in the early weeks of his presidency have been more radical than anyone could have imagined.
“They’ve got schools closed, the border open, they’re doing crazy energy policy, canceling jobs, canceling the 1776 Commission, and on and on it goes,” Jordan said. “It is not the Joe Biden that was basically hanging out in his house and not actually campaigning.
“The Democrats told us he was a moderate. It’s basically the radical Joe Biden being pushed by somebody to enact these radical executive orders and take the path they’re taking.”
Jordan was joined on the show by Mark Meadows, former President Donald Trump’s chief of staff in 2020-21.
Both Jordan and Meadows said Sen. Biden likely would have had a more favorable opinion of former President Donald Trump’s 1776 Commission, which issued a report criticizing how American students were taught about the country’s formation and the history of slavery and racial discrimination.
“You’ve got a lot of people telling Joe Biden what to do, what to say,” Meadows said. “The moderate Joe Biden, he’s hiding. He’s gone missing in action, and what we’ve got is radical Joe Biden that has re-appeared. And it’s time we pushed back.”
With Biden seeming less in control than previous first executives, Kelly asked his guests if they thought the president would serve his full four-year term.
“He’s the president of the United States. You hope the president [stays healthy], I wish him the best,” Jordan said. “I hope so. We’ll wait and see.”
