Four people have been injured in Iowa after an accident on an amusement park ride. On Saturday night, six people were on the Raging River ride at Adventureland Park when the raft they were on overturned.

Altoona Fire Department arrived on the scene, which took some time for them to reach due to the ride’s distance from park entrances. Three riders suffered critical injuries and were transported to a local hospital. One other rider was sent to the hospital for minor injuries.

In 2016, 68-year-old Steve Booher died while working on the Raging River ride while assisting passengers exiting a raft. Booher fell on the conveyor belt and fractured his skull, which led to his death four days later at a local hospital.

According to Adventureland Park officials, the ride was inspected on Friday and was found to be in working order. The ride will now remain closed for a more thorough review.
