A 4-year-old girl is among at least five people injured in a shooting outside of a funeral home in Indianapolis. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said a service was underway at the funeral home on Saturday when gunfire broke out in the parking lot.
Police arrived to three victims on the scene who were all taken to the hospital, including a 4-year-old girl who authorities said remains in critical condition. Two additional males who suffered gunshot wounds also walked into the hospital moments after one another.

Authorities said they are currently still searching for the suspect who reportedly fled the scene.
“Preliminary information shows us that an unknown male got out of a vehicle, approached another vehicle that was parked in the parking lot next to the funeral home, a verbal altercation began at which point one male began firing shots throughout the parking lot and around the truck,” said IMPD spokesperson Genae Cook.
Detectives have continued to question witnesses at the scene as the investigation remains ongoing.
