Joe Biden has nominated Idaho attorney Elizabeth Prelogar to be the next U.S. Solicitor General. On Wednesday morning, the White House confirmed Prelogar had been tapped to serve in the position on a permanent basis.

The attorney has spent the past seven months in the role in an acting capacity. Prelogar also served as a prosecutor for Robert Muellar during his independent probe into now-debunked accusations that President Trump worked with Russia in 2016. Additionally, she clerked for Attorney General Merrick Garland when he was on the U.S. court of appeals in Washington, D.C.

Her nomination is now headed to the Senate for confirmation.
