House Democrats delayed voting on the bipartisan infrastructure bill. The vote was set to take place on Thursday after the lower chamber approved the stopgap government funding bill.

However, no deal was reached as talks went into the late hours of the evening. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) appeared confident in the bill’s passage before entering the House floor on Thursday morning.

“That’s our culture. We go in it to win it,” she expressed. “….We are proceeding in a very positive way, to bring up the bill, the BIF, to do so in a way that can win, and so far so good for today. It’s going in a positive direction. ”

The House will reconvene on Friday to further discuss the bill.
