GOP California gubernatorial candidate Caitlyn Jenner recently paid a visit to the southern border. Jenner toured the Otay Mesa Port of Entry with border agents on Friday, where she vowed to support them 100 percent if elected governor.

She noted illegal immigration is one of the biggest issues in the recall election and stressed it’s very important for the state and federal government to control the border. Jenner also emphasized that the state needs to provide more resources to help secure the southern border.

“Federal issues have to change. We need, as Californians, to, bottom line, secure this border,” said Jenner. “Whatever it takes. We need to have the resources down here, whether it’s state, most cases state resources, to fill in all the gaps. We don’t have a state. We do not have a country unless we have a secure border. Bottom line, that’s it.”

In a tweet on her visit, Jenner promised to finish the southern border wall in California with state funds and called out Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-Calif.) for allowing illegal immigration to run rampant.
