Border Patrol Agents in Alaska have seized more than 3,000 counterfeit COVID vaccine cards from China. U.S. Border Patrol Officers announced on Thursday the capture of the shipment at an airport in Anchorage. They said the cards came in a number of small packages from China.
Agents said they seized more than 135 packages with each containing 20 to 25 cards resembling the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued vaccine cards.
“Getting these fraudulent cards off the streets and out of the hands of those who would then sell them is important for the safety of the American public,” said Area Port Director Lance Robinson. “Looking out for the welfare of our fellow Alaskans is one of the many and varied responsibilities CBP is proud to take on.”

The seizure comes as more and more cities have chosen to implement vaccine requirements in order to enter restaurants, gyms, bars and other public settings. “If you do not wish to receive a vaccine, that is your decision,” said Area Port Director of Memphis Michael Neipert. “But don’t order a counterfeit, waste my officer’s time, break the law and misrepresent yourself.”
