Conservative activist Mike Cernovich believes California gubernatorial candidate Larry Elder will become the state’s next governor if the recall election is fair. In an exclusive radio interview with Breitbart on Monday, Cernovich said Elder has a high chance of winning the election based on data from polls.
“Just looking at the data, if we have a fair election, Larry Elder takes it man,” he stated. “Even if it’s not fair, I think the margin of victory cold be so strong in favor of the recall that there’s not much that they are going to be able to do. So this is a huge, important election.”
Cernovich also said the media sees Elder as a threat as his decision to run caused the recall movement to pick up steam.
“Larry Elder announces (candidacy), now there is a ton of enthusiasm for the election,” he continued. “The media obviously thinks that he is a threat…he announces and the machine jut turns on, the robot turns on, right?”
Cernovich added, those who want Democrat California Gov. Gavin Newsom out of office are “chomping at the bit.”
“There’s a lot of enthusiasm, people are fired up,” he stated. “The polling’s bad for Newsom; the high enthusiasm voters in the special election are going to go for ‘yes’ on recall.”
The recall election is slated for September 14. If successful, the California Secretary of State will certify the results and the new governor will be sworn in 38 days later.
