The Republican parties of two Wyoming counties announced they will no longer recognize Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) as a member of the GOP. The Republican parties in Park and Carbon Counties recently voted in support of the move.

In a letter to Cheney, the leaders of the Park County Republican Party said they would no longer recognize her as the official Republican Congressional Representative. The president of the Carbon County GOP wrote a similar letter to Cheney and added more counties will follow the suit.

Cheney has been highly criticized for her vote to impeach President Trump. She was also ousted from House GOP leadership in May and replaced by New York Rep. Elise Stefanik.
