Iran state-affiliated media recently promoted a video of Kamala Harris applauding a student who accused Israel of “ethnic genocide” against Palestinians. On Thursday, Press TV tweeted a dialogue between Harris and a female student at Virginia’s George Mason University earlier this week.

In the exchange, the student decried American military aid for the Jewish state, alluding to the recently approved $1 billion funding for Israel’s Iron Dome missile system. Harris reassured the student, explaining how her voice, perspective, experience and truth “can’t be suppressed and it must be heard.”

Harris has faced backlash for allowing the student’s claims to go unchecked, nodding along as Israel, one of America’s strongest allies, is libeled. Former U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman, expressed outrage at Harris’ statements in a tweet.

He wrote, “there is truth and there are lies. No one is entitled to their personal truth. This attack on Israel is simply a lie and VP Harris should have called that out.”
