Meghan McCain on the set of “The View,” in New York

Meghan McCain said Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) would decimate Kamala Harris in 2024. On The View on Monday, McCain’s co-host Joy Behar implied Harris’s record unpopularity was due to her race and sex.

Behar argued Harris hasn’t had enough time to do anything of positive importance for the country. McCain had an opportunity to fire back and said Harris was never popular with voters by citing her drop out of the Democrat primaries before Iowa.

McCain went on to mention she believed Republicans would love to run against her because she could be easily defeated.

“The problem for Democrats going into 2024 is if President Biden chooses not to run for reelection, she’s just not going to be able to be a strong enough candidate to run for president,” she stated. “…Honestly, it’s everyone’s, you know, risk to take but Ron DeSantis would put her in the ground.”

McCain’s comments followed recent polling, which showed Harris has been underwater in approval among American people.
