A shooting at a Missouri mall has left one dead following an altercation between two males. Police responded to the shooting at the West County Mall on Saturday evening after gunfire reportedly erupted in a store.
Witnesses said they heard as many as eight gunshots. The victim shot was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The victim is said to be 20-year-old Malachi Maclin of Florissant.
MORE: West County Mall is still on lock down. Police are working to evacuate customers and employees of stores. Des Peres Police say still just one victim that they are aware of. The shooter is still at large and is believed to still be in the mall.

Authorities believe the shooting was not random and say there is no further threat to the public. The suspect has since been arrested as of Sunday morning.
This is the second shooting that has taken place at West County Mall this year.
