Louisiana Sen. John Kennedy (R) received a huge endorsement in his bid for re-election. President Trump announced his support for Kennedy on Wednesday by saying the senator is the “real deal.”
The 45th president added that Kennedy is strong on crime, the border, military and the Second Amendment. He then criticized Louisiana’s other senator Bill Cassidy (R) by saying, “he used my name in ads all over the place to get re-elected and then went stupid.”
I promise I will always be your voice during the good times and the bad.
Come hell or high water, your values will be my values. I will never be silent when the radical nut jobs tell me to sit down and shut up.

Senator Kennedy launched his campaign on Tuesday, arguing that Democrats want to undo all the progress that has been achieved over the past five years and vowing to keep fighting for the truth.
“People of Louisiana know this: I keep my promises and when I say I will do something, I will stick,” he declared. “I can’t guarantee you that I’ll win every fight folks, but by God I will always refuse to be beaten.”
President Trump went on to say that Kennedy is a brilliant and highly educated man who will never let the people down.
