President Trump touted his work in getting Operation Warp Speed up and running, as well as a COVID vaccine developed in record time. In an interview on Saturday, the 45th president said if a vaccine hadn’t been developed during his administration, the death toll would likely be around 100 million people.
He called the vaccines a “tremendous thing” and something he’s very proud of. Additionally, 200 million doses each of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines were purchased by the Trump administration.
However, Trump voiced his opposition to mandatory inoculations, saying he believes in choice and freedom. He added people have to make that choice for themselves.
