President Trump often faced immense pressure from reporters, however, Joe Biden has so far seemed to have an easier experience. Anonymous White House reporters told journalist Julia Loffe that Democrats expect reporters to be on their side and that Biden’s team has been controlling what journalists can say and do.

Additionally, cable news has lost 30 percent of their viewers since Biden took office and reporters have said pieces on Trump are receiving more views over the Democrat.

At Biden’s first solo press conference in March, he had a list of journalists to call on and had already prepped answers. However, he faced little backlash for having the cheat sheet.

In the past when Trump would express his concerns on the accuracy of the media, he was called a threat to free press. Meanwhile, when Biden attacks media they never seem to bite back.

In June, Biden snapped at a CNN reporter after being questioned about his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Later that same day, Biden insulted journalists for claiming he dodged their questions. Meanwhile, backlash remained absent.

Following the occurrence, White House staffers made press appearances while Biden was sidelined. Biden has previously mentioned he would “get in trouble” with his staff if he were to veer away from scripted questions and interactions with reporters.

More recently, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki led reporters in singing “happy birthday” to a journalist at a press briefing. Journalists may now be in jeopardy of losing their jobs for asking Biden tough questions and going against the “narrative.”

Project Veritas has recently helped some journalists get their stories out, where they claim they have been muzzled from sharing information to the public. According to a poll back in 2014, only 7 percent identified as Republicans, revealing a stark left-wing bias in the journalism industry.
