Reps. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) held a free speech peaceful protest outside of Riverside City Hall on Saturday. The rally came after three venues cancelled their America First rallies in Southern California due to public safety concerns earlier in the day.

Greene kicked off the rally to “hundreds” of protesters by assuring the two lawmakers would not back down and would continue to put America first. Gaetz later took the stage and criticized lawmakers from both political parties for taking money from lobbyists for their own bidding.

“Washington D.C. is a deeply corrupt place with corrupt people. Members of Congress in both political parties take money from lobbyists and PACs and then they do their bidding, not yours,” he asserted. “You know why they’re so afraid of Matt Gaetz and Marjorie Taylor Greene, because we fight for you and not them.”

Greene went on to say the rally was to show all Americans how to stand up to tyrants and bullies.
