President Joe Biden could stop the crisis at the nation’s border tomorrow if he would say the United States will not allow any migrants to cross the nations’ southern border unless they are children, but “too many” Democrats are “beholden” to the ideology that there should be no borders, Sen. Tom Cotton said Friday.

“There is nothing virtuous to inducing migrants to make a journey that is dangerous to the country, even when they don’t have a legal right to be here,” the Arkansas Republican said on Fox News’ “America Reports.”

Biden could say that migrants would have to stay in Mexico to make their claims for asylum, as former President Donald Trump had put in place, or they should raise their case for asylum in a country they would enter before heading on to the United States, said Cotton.

“There are too many Democrats who don’t believe in borders and think we should be open to the entire world,” said Cotton.

He added that it was shocking to see the video showing smugglers dropping two small girls from a 14-foot wall so they would be in the United States

“The girls don’t belong on the border,” said Cotton. “They belong with their families in their home country. The reason why we see the Biden border crisis is because Joe Biden said if you are a kid, or a teenager, or purport to be a teenager or show up with a kid, we will let you in the country. What did he expect would happen?”

What has happened is there has been a five-fold increase in the month of March this year from last year, said Cotton, who toured border sites last week and spoke with immigrants.

“Not a single one with whom I spoke was claiming asylum on the border was claiming asylum (because of) persecution on the basis of religion, race, ethnicity, or the political views. They were coming for a better job. It’s a basis for asylum (by) the law.”

Cotton also slammed companies in Georgia such as Coca-Cola and Delta who have flipped to oppose Georgia’s voting law after initially supporting it, and pointed out that they and other businesses that have decried the new measure still do business with China.

“A lot of the ill-informed and politically correct CEOS are dancing to the tune of those that scare them,” said Cotton. “The Chinese Communist Party scares them. They are afraid they’ll cut off business so they will do whatever they, say like changing the name of Taiwan on the drop-down menu on the website.”

The companies are also scared of the Biden administration and of threats from the far left of boycotts, said Cotton.

“They have a lot of Republicans that fly planes and work for them,” said Cotton. “They are condemning the Republican lawmakers and voters in Georgia for passing a law, that, by the way, expands the voting access in many regards than greater extent than Delaware, Biden’s home state, New York, or California. Democratic states.”
