According to court documents released on Friday, the 31-year-old former reality TV star pleaded not guilty to the charges on Sept. 23. The alleged violation occurred on Sept. 9.
While the court documents of the case remain sealed, similar charges stem from conduct, which “creates a substantial risk of serious or mental harm to a child known to the perpetrator.”
She is expected to appear in court on Jan. 10. Jana faces up to three months in prison and a $1,000 fine if convicted.
News regarding the charges arose just one day after her brother was convicted of possessing child pornography in 2019. He faces up to 20 years in addition to $250,000 fines for each count.
