The 45th president is ramping up criticism of Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff, Mark Milley over his advice to leave billions of dollars of U.S. military equipment to the Taliban.
While speaking at Mar-a-Lago over the weekend, Donald Trump said he wanted to move that equipment out of Afghanistan during the withdrawal of U.S. forces. However, Milley was suggesting it’s cheaper to abandon it in Afghanistan. Trump asserted that Milley “is not the smartest man.”
“You mean you think it’s cheaper to leave it there so they can have it than it is to fill it up with a half of tank of gas and fly it into Pakistan or fly it back to our country.” Trump asked.
