During a White House media briefing Thursday, press secretary Jen Psaki was asked by a reporter if President Joe Biden was considering enhancing border security in New Mexico since a video, published by Breitbart News, showed a three-year-old and a five-year-old  being tossed over the border wall there.

”I’ve seen the video and I think any of us who saw the video were incredibly alarmed by the steps of smugglers, ones that we have been quite familiar with,” Psaki said during the briefing.

Some argue that the president’s immigration policies have empowered coyotes to resume smuggling children into the U.S. for money.

”These kids, I believe, were rescued by individuals who were working at the border,” Psaki said, and added, ”These border patrol agents who saved these kids deserve our thanks and our gratitude for ensuring their safety.”

Psaki shifted the focus of the discussion away from what President Biden isn’t doing onto the form of the reporter’s question,

”… And are you concerned more about the kids’ safety or are you concerned about kids getting in? Or tell me more about your concern here,” she said.
