The suspect in the Waukesha parade attack is facing another charge of intentional homicide after a child died last week from injuries sustained during the attack.

The suspected driver of a red Ford Escape killed at least six people after he allegedly intentionally plowed through a Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin, on November 21. The suspect is facing six counts of first-degree intentional homicide after the most recent charge was filed on Monday, according to Fox News.

Prosecutors charged the suspect, who The Daily Wire has decided not to name, with five counts of first-degree intentional homicide on November 23. That same day, 8-year-old Jackson Sparks died from injuries sustained during the attack. The attack left dozens of others injured, many critically.

“Our sweet little boy is now under the care of Jesus,” Sparks obituary says. “Jackson was a 3rd grader at Clarendon Avenue Elementary School and a member of LifePoint Church in Mukwonago. Jackson loved baseball and played for the Waukesha Blazers. When not playing baseball, or slam-dunking basketballs throughout the house, Jackson enjoyed fishing, catching frogs, and playing with his brother Tucker and his dog Qi’ra.”

Authorities filed a complaint against the suspected driver last week alleging that he showed “no emotion” and accelerated into the crowd of parade participants and onlookers. As The Daily Wire reported:

“Officer Butryn observed the driver looking straight ahead, directly at him, and it appeared he had no emotion on his face,” the complaint states. Butryn then watched the red SUV speed through another intersection, after which the officer concluded that “if the driver was lost and attempting to get out of the parade, this would have been a reasonable location for him to stop and exit the parade route.”

As the driver hit the next intersection, the vehicle appeared “to increase its speed,” according to Butryn. At the next intersection, the SUV’s brake lights lit up and Butryn thought the SUV may come to a stop or exit the procession.

“However, the vehicle then appeared to rapidly accelerate, as Officer Butryn heard tires squeal,” the complaint says. “The vehicle took an abrupt left turn into the crowd of parade participants. At this point, it was clear to Officer Butryn that this was an intentional act to strike and hurt as many people as possible. Officer Butryn continued to run westbound on East Main Street, trailing the vehicle and its path. He observed the vehicle appeared to be intentionally moving side to side, striking multiple people, and bodies and objects were flying from the area of the vehicle.”

The suspected Waukesha driver is a 39-year-old black male who was released from jail on bail days before the attack. The driver had been arrested weeks prior after allegedly running over a woman with whom he had a child. Counting the charges filed in connection with the parade attack, the alleged driver is now facing three separate criminal cases involving felony acts of violence. Since 1999, he has been convicted of battery and consensual sex with a minor and faced a series of other charges including battery, drug charges, and resisting law enforcement.
